Saying Goodbye and New Beginnings

Saying Goodbye and New Beginnings
This week we had our "Remember and Celebrate" event at Trinity to celebrate all the amazing things that God has done over the last three years of the Harvey Response.  We all masked up and distanced to stay safe and had a wonderful time with numerous Crisis Response staff, homeowners, and members of the community.  It's been a bittersweet time as we start wrapping things up here in Friendswood.  We have so many sweet relationships that have been built through this response and we know that our "goodbyes" are simply "see ya'll later".  We had a wonderful sharing time in the church where people all shared what God has done and what the response has meant in their lives.  You can watch the sharing time here.  It is a long video but so worth every moment!  One of the things we kept hearing from homeowners was how God turned something horrible into something so beautiful and that they wouldn't ever wish away the journey that God brought them through.

Pastor Bob worked for hours on this beautiful video as a tribute to all God has done in Friendswood.  If you have served in Friendswood, thank you!  If you have prayed for our staff and homeowners, thank you!  If you have supported me financially so I can serve here, thank you!  You are a part of this story and what God has done here! Thank you for answering the call to be a part of what God has done in Friendswood over the last three years.

(All these pictures and videos were filmed pre-covid.  That's why there are no masks. ;) )
In January, I will be moving to Lake Charles to serve in our new response site out of Lake Charles Bible Church.  I'm excited to see what God will do and how He will work in our new response.  We already have some wonderful relationships with some homeowners and church members there that have been such a blessing to us.  Please pray that I would continue to raise the support I need in order to stay in Lake Charles full time.  In order to be fully funded, I need about $1500 more each month.  I know God is faithful to provide!  If you want to hear about more ways (volunteering, prayer, trauma care, financial support, etc.) that you can be a part of what God is doing at our new response in Lake Charles, let me know.

Hey friends! I do plan on being home in New Jersey for a few weeks this month. I will be around from around the 13th until Christmas and I would love to meet up with people (safe and distanced of course! 🥰) to catch up and share what God has been doing in the ministry. Also, I’m especially looking for opportunities to share with Bible Studies, Sunday School classes, youth groups, etc. If you would like to host a time where I can come share with a group you are a part of, I’d really appreciate it! ❤️💚🎄

Lake Charles Internship Opportunities

Hey students (ages 17-24), pray about joining us for a summer internship in Lake Charles this summer! We would love to have you! I’ll be home in NJ for a few weeks around Christmas and would love to get together and chat about what an internship might look like if you are interested.
